Take a look at a few of the fantastic events we've enjoyed together over the past year or so, below.  What other organization in Greater Boston has had this kind of sustained, intense fun together for 55 years? ................

The Kentucky Derby party was a smash
hit with 60 of us watching Mine That Bird
cross the finish line first!

The Cape Cod Lobster Feast was
another huge hit with 40 of us
cavorting at Susanne's house
in Yarmouth Port sampling yummy
scrumptious caponatas from Ron
and Jerry's chili squares, then the
lobster!

How about these past few great events?

On Friday, May 1st, the Boston Minstrel Company
Dance Party and Sing-A-Long Fundraiser was at Sculler's
Jazz Cafe at the DoubleTree Hotel on Storrow
Drive in Allston.  Many Sitzers support this
wonderful non-profit, the Boston Minstrels.
We all enjoyed the dancing and singing
and feasting together.

The Dance of Tennis on Friday, April 10th
at the Badminton & Tennis Club in Boston
was a grand time for 16 of us.  Playing
tennis to the symphonic and rock music
is a unique and wonderful experience.

Our Spring Fling Dance, April 18th at
the Dedham Country and Polo Club,
featuring the acclaimed Peter Hostage Band
was a huge success for almost 200 of us and
our guests.  This was one of our most

successful dances in several years, thank to

Dance Chairman Ben and his capable

committee members Ron and Ann, plus all

the Sitzers who pitched in to help at the

dance.  What a great time!

Our traditional Boston Marathon Party
on the race route at Priscilla's place
in Brookline was the usual great
Patriot's Day Celebration!

Sitz continues on a roll!

The Ski Trip to Sunday River and
the delicious Bethel Inn was great.

30 of us had a ball and enjoyed

Colorado-style powder skiing on

Saturday.  Sunday was mashed

potatoes-type skiing, typical

New England wet granular.

The Saturday night banquet was

filled with Sitz camaraderie and

delicious Bethel Inn cooking.

Join us next year for this unique,

fun Sitz skiing extravaganza,

courtesy of Shelly and her team!

Our super, Super Bowl Party at Joe's was
an incredibly delicious time, with good
will and camaraderie and good
sportsmanship all around!  60 of us
watched in wonder, cheering as, incredibly,
a really exciting game broke out between
the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona
Cardinals.  What a great time was had
by all!

Our big annual dance, our Holiday Formal

in tuxedos and gowns at the Algonquin Club,
occurred on December 6th.
This elegant event is one of our most

memorable of each Sitz year, with

dancing to the Trilogy Orchestra and

caroling at the magnificent spiral

staircase.  Sitz Santa was a huge
hit, with roses for all the ladies.
This signature Sitz event exhibits
each year the great, uplifting, fun role
that Sitz plays in all our lives.

Our Annual Oldies Dance Nov. 7th was
a blast at The Museum of Industry and
Innovation in scenic downtown Waltham!

The fabulous Blue Suede Boppers Band
provided the classic rock sounds,
and Sitz and our guests provided
the dancers!  What a great night it was!

The Sitz Fall Fling at the Blue Hill Country
Club in Canton, MA. on October 18th was

a huge blowout success, with 200 of us

partying and gyrating on the dance floor

to the stellar sounds of the fabled Tim

McHale and his hardy band, the

Knuckleheads.  What a great time!

Since 1955 Sitz has sponsored one fun event
after another- 53 years of fabulous events.

Oct. 14, we went to Susanne's house in West Newton to meet author Sibylle Barrasso
and discuss her just-released murder mystery novel about foul deeds in Boston!
We enjoyed apetizers, wine

and desserts, and enjoyed scintillating

conversation with the author.  What a
treat to engage in some conversations with a

published author!

What a great Club we
have; what fun events, one after another!

The big fun never stops!

We're all learning to sail like true SitzundJIBERS!
Every Thursday, many of us show up at
Community Boating near the Esplanade on the
Charles River to take our lessons.  Some of us
have now qualified to solo on the Charles: Mary Anne,
Curt, soon Janene! And Ron has now made Helmsman!
More of us will qualify to solo shortly.
You come, too!  This Thursday, and every
Thursday for the rest of the summer.

We have one tremendous event after another!

6 of us manned the assembly line at the
Greater Boston Food Bank April 5th.  We

each processed enough food for 157
meals for those in need, they told us at
at the end of our shift.  A picture of us
with Event Chairlady Mara is posted on
